After the fire goes through, there has to be a serious amount of litter for these fungi to feed upon. So I imagine that this type of fungi bloom isn't "natural" or "normal", in that such accumulations of litter aren't typically available for consumption?
I say this in comparison to other fungi blooms - such as faerie circles - which happen more frequently and result in lots of mushrooms naturally forming in one area.
