Hand-polished with increasingly finer grades of sandpaper followed by buffing with a cloth and some leather oil.

Unfortunately I don't know the source of this particular project as it was sold to me in a mixed lot of other rough stones. Presumably it is Dominican as this is what the jeweller otherwise carries.
